Our fourth educational video to support an in-home practice adds a new breathing practice

This week we share a second of the several Yoga breathing practices available. Ujjyai Breath is a warming and focusing breath that elongates the breath longer by engaging muscles in the throat. This breath is rhythmic and often sounds like ocean waves. It creates equanimity, by balancing the body systems and the mind.

In the Yoga Sutras, Patanjali writes, “Sthira Sukham Asanam” which translates from the original Sanskrit as Seated posture should be steady and comfortable.
