This is a one-hour slow flowing class incorporates breath work, strengthening,and stretching which heals and protects the body and mind. We will also work on balance and relaxation and end with a simple meditation.

Chairs are available for those who prefer to sit for a yoga class and adaptions can always be made.

This class offers Moms time to gather together and practice some all levels Flow Yoga while little ones not-in-school (all ages welcome) can enjoy calm energy of the Yoga space, and play with props  and socialize with the other kiddos. Of course, there will not be silence promised in this class, however, there will be giggles and Momma will get time to care for herself while the children have the freedom to play. Kids are welcome to join in and imitate the Yoga poses if they like to or bring some of their favorite soft toys to play with alongside of Mom as she flows.

This will be a monthly offering heading into Fall. Keep an eye out for the September date!

Teen Yoga for Stress Relief

Yoga practices have many benefits to overall health and wellness, such as a reduction in stress levels, improved strength, flexibility and a calmer mind. Another bonus is learning how to respond purposefully rather than react rashly during almost any situation. Being a young adult in modern times can be very stimulating and intense at times.

Learning the practices of Yoga allows students to learn tools that will help each individually learn how to cope with daily-life stressors, as well as center, restore and be more present. This ability to become more conscious has the potential to assist teens during daily life, behavior choices, and overall body awareness and conditioning. 

In class, students will learn Yoga postures, stress-relieving techniques such as breathing and centering and how to focus and calm the mind. All levels of Yoga experience are welcome, no previous knowledge is required.

This is a three week series running September 29th to October 13th

Teens face many of the same stressors as adults do, as well as others unique to adolescence. Yoga was been proven to be a helpful and healthful way for teens to release stress and learn to find balance

  • Students will learn breathing techniques, mindfulness, Yoga postures and relaxation methods
  • All Yoga experience levels are welcome to attend
  • Students ages 12 years and up
  • Ask us about using your health plan or wellness debit card for this class
By now the physical benefits resulting from a regular yoga practice are well established and accepted. The mental and psychological effects, however, can be somewhat harder to prove. Helping to do just that, Harvard Medical School has released a study, co-led by Jessica Noggle, Ph.D., on the psychological benefits of yoga on teenagers in 11th and 12th grade. Published in the April issue of the Journal of Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics, the study concluded that yoga may “serve a preventative role in adolescent mental health” by providing teens with beneficial ways to deal with stress and trauma, instead of falling into the dangerous and destructive behavioral patterns so prevalent in high schools across the country.

Community Drum Circle

“ I don’t have any rhythm!”– a phrase often uttered but one that is completely incorrect. Steve Bell will facilitate a drum circle that will serve to summarily dispel this concept. The session will serve to awaken the inner rhythm that is within all of us through a hands-on, fully participatory 1 ½ hour of guided hand drumming.

Participants need bring only an openness to participate. All drums and hand-held percussion instruments will be provided

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is an emotional version of acupressure with infinite healing potential. We tap on certain energy meridian points with our fingertips while focusing on a negative emotion such as fear, anxiety, anger or frustration. Properly done, this can produce a calming effect, rewire a new neural pathway in the brain, reduce the negative emotion and shift to a positive state in a matter of minutes.

EFT can be used to alleviate negative thought patterns or emotions or change deeper held beliefs and perceptions. Other uses include healing physical pain, past trauma, or coping with cravings. Come learn this technique that’s literally at your fingertips, and feel the freedom it provides!

Please bring a lunch, a journal and pen.  EFT Handouts will be provided.

This class is designed to inspire all of the above through a natural awareness of themselves and nature. Students will enjoy a balancing Yoga class with breathing, flowing movements and challenging balance postures. After class all will get to select a box of rocks as we move into a guided Rock Sculpting class. This art is one of perseverance and simplicity. Students will enjoy the ability to use their ingenuity as they try different combinations to discover just the right fight between the rocks that will build the impermanent piece of art they are creating. Then they will enjoy a guided meditative practice of Henna on one another along with the creation of Mala-inspired beads. After a 20-30 minute hike we will pause for an all levels Yoga practice. Students will learn conscious breathing methods, strength and flexibility enhancing postures and a centering final relaxation. Nature plus Yoga amidst the wonderful WNY summer equals time and space for teens to just enjoy being outdoors in a group and increase their overall wellness. 

*Please bring a yoga matt and water bottle and wear sneakers or hiking shoes.

Saturday June 30th & Sunday July 1st 12p-5:00pm


Learn the art of hands on energy medicine through the Usui Shiki Ryoho Tradition. Rei Ki translates as universal life force energy, it is a simple, easy way to channel healing energy through the palms to facilitate healing touch. Reiki itself is used both as a tool for healing and spiritual growth. I find Reiki especially useful for those who identify as highly sensitive, empathic, or feel they take on the emotions/energy of others easily. It is also a great base to begin healing work or add on to other therapeutic and healing practices. 
The Basic Level One course will teach you how to channel Reiki for your own healing and spiritual practice, as well as how to facilitate healing for others, friends, family, and animals. No prior experience is necessary. Anyone can learn Reiki. 

Cost: $100 for 2 day course

The ancient gong is said to be the sound embodiment of all of consciousness and resonates with us down to a cellular level thereby renewing all body systems. Offered by Joyspring special instructor Carrie Evans, 15 years ago after two traumatic losses, Carrie's practice with yoga & meditation took her through anxiety, depression and grief and brought her out on the other side.  It has turned her inside out and outside in, and continues to transform her. Every. Single. Day. After such awesome results, Carrie felt she had to share the unbelievable and innumerable benefits of yoga with others. Now a mother of 2 crazy, funny, beautiful, rowdy boys Carrie uses the tools yoga has given her with her own family. This has fueled her passion for empowering other families. And now she’s out spreading the yoga love. Because that’s what yoga truly is to Carrie, an expression of love. Yoga offers a wonderful opportunity to keep our minds and our bodies strong and flexible, and this class for Seniors is also a great place to connect with the community around us.

This is a one-hour slow flowing class incorporates breath work, strengthening,and stretching which heals and protects the body and mind. We will also work on balance and relaxation and end with a simple meditation.

Chairs are available for those who prefer to sit for a yoga class and adaptions can always be made.

This class offers Moms time to gather together and practice some all levels Flow Yoga while little ones not-in-school (all ages welcome) can enjoy calm energy of the Yoga space, and play with props  and socialize with the other kiddos. Of course, there will not be silence promised in this class, however, there will be giggles and Momma will get time to care for herself while the children have the freedom to play. Kids are welcome to join in and imitate the Yoga poses if they like to or bring some of their favorite soft toys to play with alongside of Mom as she flows.

Join us for a hands-on Evening Ritual class where will be walking through a healthy night time skin care ritual. We will be learning the importance of cleansing, facial massage, and the importance of hydrosols and oils daily for lymphatic health and vibrant skin.

I will be demonstrating on myself what this looks like, and you are welcome to walk through and customize your own evening ritual along with me. I will also be talking about and demonstrating different tools, crystals, and stones that can be used during your evening routine to boost your skin health. Whole plant skin care samples, an organic cotton cloth, and a set of tumbled Clear Quarts, Jade, and Rose crystals are included in the ticket price for you to use during the class and take home. You will leave nourished and glowing!

  • No eye makeup removal is required.
