Yoga practices have many benefits to overall health and wellness, such as a reduction in stress levels, improved strength, flexibility and a calmer mind. Another bonus is learning how to respond purposefully rather than react rashly during almost any situation. Being a young adult in modern times can be very stimulating and intense at times.
Learning the practices of Yoga allows students to learn tools that will help each individually learn how to cope with daily-life stressors, as well as center, restore and be more present. This ability to become more conscious has the potential to assist teens during daily life, behavior choices, and overall body awareness and conditioning.
In class, students will learn Yoga postures, stress-relieving techniques such as breathing and centering and how to focus and calm the mind. All levels of Yoga experience are welcome, no previous knowledge is required.
